Lot 864 2019 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel

A Sonoma Stunner from a “near-perfect” Dry Creek Zinfandel vintage!

Lot 864 2019 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel is an amazing wine from one of the best Zin-producing regions in the state. If you’ve seen classic, gnarled Old World-style Zin vines you know there’s nothing quite like the romance and emotion they evoke and Lot 864 captures all of that and more. Zinfandel is well-loved for its boldness, structure, and daresay sexy character. As a stand-alone wine, it is easy to drink and pairs well with anything you’re pulling off the grill.

We were lucky enough to get this wine from a major producer out of Sonoma County, with a sweet deal on this high-end juice. Bottles from this AVA can go upwards of $30, making it a steal for you at just $18 per bottle.

On the nose of this Sonoma Stunner, you’re warmly greeted by an expressive bouquet of blackberries, crushed gravel, and baking spice before being introduced to a complimentary cigar box and tobacco notes. The medium purple color bursts forth on the pour, inviting you to indulge in its juicy-but-not-jammy palate before bringing in the tobacco notes, new leather, and black plums to play. Mid-range acidity and small, polished tannins bring you to a barrel-kissed finish with nicely delineated vanilla, raspberry, and allspice.
